Our #MightyCommunity Round-Up
By: Tiffany Anzalone McCasland
At MightyMeals we’re always on the scene supporting our community and spreading our #MightyMission to get delicious, healthy and fresh prepped meals to customers in the DMV area. We’ve had a busy couple of weeks and want to thank all of our #MightyFam partners for the great work they do in our community.
College to Congress:
On May 30th, we donated 25 meals to College to Congress, an organization that is committed to providing need-based scholarships to PellGrant-eligible students so they can participate in Congress’s traditionally unpaid internships. College to Congress is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to empower the next generation of leaders in public service and change Congress one intern at a time. Pretty cool, right? We enjoyed supporting the Intern Bootcamp, a training event for 25 participants of the College to Congress program that helps them develop the skills they need for their internships and future careers in public service.
If you or someone you know has a passion for public service visit www.collegetocongress.org to learn more about how College to Congress is creating pathways for high-achieving, low-income college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to intern in Congress who otherwise could not afford to do so.
